FOUNDER & FRENCH TEACHER

Céline Brispot is a French teacher from Normandy, France. She has experience teaching students from different backgrounds and her teaching style has a special touch that sets her apart. She has also prepared students for DELF DALF exams.
Céline has worked at the International French School of Sydney, as well as Alliance Française in Sydney and Adelaide, before creating Bonjour Australia. She has experience teaching students of all ages and levels and understands what it’s like to learn a language from scratch. Céline firmly believes that finding the right teacher is key to success when learning a language.
She holds a DAEFLE certificate (Diploma in teaching French as a foreign language) which she attained from Alliance Française de Paris. Additionally, she has a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism and French Culture from the University of Caen in Normandy.

MY STORY

I was born in Normandy and I spent my childhood weekends and holidays discovering our beautiful region and wider country. While living in Normandy I began work at a local tourism agency while studying tourism in Rouen and later Caen. I obtained my Carte de guide confériencier, and conducted guiding tours for tourist groups.
In 2016, I made the decision to live in another stunning French region, Reunion Island (near to Africa and Mauritius.) This island is truly breathtaking.
Even though I worked in Tourism for a while (I worked only with French speaking tourists), I always wanted to improve, or should I say LEARN English.
So, in 2019, I went to Australia with absolutely NO English. Well, I knew a few numbers and how to say Hello, Good Bye and Thank you. As you can imagine I found it very hard to understand when someone was speaking to me, and there were many funny situations that happened that I can now laugh about.
After many months of learning by myself and later having some lessons, I learned enough English that allowed me to speak and understand the language, and therefore communicate easily.
Because I started from scratch in English (yes trust me!) to obtain a level that allowed me to speak with Australian people every day, I understand the process of learning a language.
When I began giving my first French lessons, I realised I loved it and had found my vocation. In 2020 I studied what we call DAEFLE (Diploma of Aptitude to the Teaching of French Foreign Language) and since then I have continued giving French lessons for all ages and all levels, across different language schools and with my own private students.
Don’t think that French is hard, you just need to practice regularly and have a good teacher.

HER STORY

Céline arrived in Australia in 2019 with little knowledge of the English language. She found herself surrounded by a language she couldn’t understand or communicate in.

Within just two short years, Céline achieved fluency in English, a remarkable feat that left her not only with a new language but also with a deep understanding of the journey of learning a language from scratch. She experienced firsthand the frustrations, the joys, and the milestones that come with acquiring a new language.

Céline’s transformation and newfound empathy for language learners inspired her to establish Bonjour Australia. Céline’s journey has given her profound insights into the language learning process, allowing her to create a truly exceptional French learning experience.

Celine: “Because I started from scratch in English (yes trust me!) I really understand the process of learning a language. Don’t think that French is hard, you just need to practice regularly and have a good teacher.”

At Bonjour Australia, we don’t just teach French; we empower our students to navigate the challenges of language acquisition with confidence and success.
